Touch TV Series Synopsis

Watch Touch online is the best place to watch the upcoming Sci-Fi drama from Heroes creator Tim Kring, the show will see 24's Kiefer Sutherland returning to our screens as 'Martin Bohm', the father of an autistic and mute child.

Martin is a former journalist who now works as a baggage handler at an airport. His son Jake is all he has left after his wife was killed in the September 11 attacks. He struggles to connect with autistic and mute son(David Mazouz) who won't allow himself to be touched by anyone, show any emotions and has an obsession with numbers.

His fears over connecting with Jake are soon swamped by the grim prospect of losing him to social services, who think Martin isn't able to handle Jakes special needs. In his fight to keep his son he finds help from Clea Hopkins(Gugu Mbatha-Raw), a sympathetic social worker who might just be the key to keeping his son.

In an effort to help understand his son's condition Martin turns to Proferssor Arthur DeWitt(Danny Glover), a specialist in children with special capabilities, who soon comes to realise Jakes abilities. Arthur explains to Martin that Jake can understand the world at a base mathematical level, he can look at events and reactions and correctly and instantaneously predict the outcome. Despite his explanation Jake's abilities are still mysterious and border on the psychic as he can predict lottery outcomes or even the phone number somebody is about to dial.

The show also centres around Sheri(Roxana Brusso), the director of the specialist facility that Jake attends and (Kayla Graham), a local call centre worker who dreams of becoming a singer. The seemingly unrelated individuals will come to affect each-others lives in more ways than they can possibly imagine.

Martin must fight to keep his son with the aid of Clea and Arthur whilst also coming to terms with the loss of his wife, his son's new-found gift and his Jakes macabre obsession with the number 3:18, a number that often repeats itself in his actions. Jake is often found setting all the clocks in his home to 3:18 and in one particular incident half-way up the local clock tower. What exactly this number means is a mystery but whatever it is it has a deep resonance with Jake that he's trying to communicate with the outside world. Whether they'll listen in time is another question...
