Awake TV Show Cast and Characters

Here is a list of cast and their characters from the new NBC show Awake, an engaging and thought provoking science fiction drama. You can catch it on the NBC Network or watch Awake on-line.

Michael Britten - Father and detective in the show and the pivotal character who is affected by the dual reality. He is played by UK actor Jason Isaccs, who is best known of course for playing the conniving Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter series of films. He has also appeared in Green Zone and lent his voice to the animated films Cars 2 and Batman: Under the Red Hood. His most recent role is that of Dr. William Birkin in Resident Evil: Retribution.

Hannah Britten - Wife to Michael and mother to Rex, Hannah survives the car accident in one reality but not the other. This leads to mixed emotions for Michael as in the other reality, his son Rex has survived but his wife has died. Hannah is played by Laura Allen who's film catalogue include Mona Lisa Smile as well as appearances in House M.D, Law & Order : Special Victims Unit, CSI: Miami and Grey's Anatomy.

Rex Britten - Son to Michael and Hannah and appears in one of his father’s realities. He is played by young actor Dylan Minnette who has appeared in a number of hit TV shows including Lost, Grey's Anatomy and Prison Break. He has also appeared in films such as Fred Claus and Snow Buddies.

Other cast members include Daniela Bobadilla who plays Emma. Daniela has previously appeared in Desperate Housewives, Oliver's Ghost and Lie to me. David Walker is played by actor Bailey Chase; who has appeared in Castle, Ugly Betty, Las Vegas and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

There are also two therapists, one in each of Mark’s realities, Dr John Lee played by B.D Wong and Dr Judith Evans played by Cherry Jones. Wong is probably best known for his portrayal of Dr. George Huang in the hit show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He has also appeared as Father Ray Mukada in the series Oz. Cherry Jones is best known for her role as President Allison Taylor in the series 24. She has also appeared in films such as Ocean’s Twelve, Erin Brockovich and The Perfect Storm.

The show was created by Kyle Killen who is also Executive Producer alongside Howard Gordon. Gordon is a screenwriter and producer whose credits include Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and 24 for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award for outstanding drama series in 2006.
